gwibber-2.31.2-7.fc12 (FEDORA-2010-11395)
An open source microblogging client for GNOME developed with Python and GTK

Update Information:
This is a new branch of gwibber code, you should be aware of the following:
1) This branch no longer uses desktopcouch (it uses SQLite instead). This
resolves the vast majority of crashes and performance issues. 2) The SQLite
database format has changed. If you have been running a SQLite aware gwibber,
you will need to delete the user-local copy of the gwibber SQLite db file and
start over to use this package, or things will break (you'll notice that no new
updates occur). Deleting the gwibber SQLite db file will also delete any
configured gwibber accounts/preferences, so you'll need to readd them. To do
this, run: rm ~/.cache/gwibber/gwibber.sqlite 3) Facebook support in
gwibber is pretty rough at the moment. Here's why: * Facebook switched to a
"per-application" throttling policy, so that means that no "application" can do
too many calls to the Facebook API, and once that limit is reached, the Facebook
API will just refuse to respond. * When I say "per-application", I mean "all
instances of gwibber running everywhere", not "the instance of gwibber you're
running on your Fedora machine right now". * Old versions of gwibber, written
before this change took effect are still in wide use. This version is self-
regulating, but older versions just slam the Facebook API repeatedly, like a
toddler with a spoon. * Conclusion: Facebook is really hit or miss at the
moment. Upstream knows about it. Be patient. 4) Gwibber no longer jumps
around as new messages come in. Major upgrade to version 2.0 of Gwibber,
including many bug fixes and improvements to the interface. Update gwibber to
2.29.92.1. While I would not normally perform a major update to gwibber for
released distributions, this update is important for the following reasons: *
Gwibber 1.2.0 and 2.0.0 crash. A lot. Most of the reasons for these crashes are
exposed feature functionality which was never implemented completely. These
features are generally implemented properly in the 2.29.92.1 code, and so far,
it has yet to crash on me in extensive testing. * Upstream is not maintaining
the 1.2 or 2.0 branches at all, so any work done in those spaces is wasteful.
Update to 2.30.0.1 Fix bug where non-int font size would crash gwibber. Add
support for GNOME notification area. * If ~/.cache/gwibber does not exist,
create it with os.makedirs() not os.mkdir() * default notification icon size
is now 48 x 48 * fixes situation where pango_overlay could be called before
it is defined * fixes issues where facebook account creation would fail

Update Information:
An undefined behavior is found on fadeplot. Also another segv on xjack is
reported on small window. This new rpm will fix these issues.
