Updating Network Manager breaks pan

I reinstalled F14 64 on my office computer and Pan worked correctly.
(The standard Fedora Pan.)
I then ran "yum update NetworkManager*" and that broke Pan's
ability to download large yenc encoded postings.

Unfortunately, reinstalling the NetworkManager rpms from the DVD
did not correct the problem.
