Why was a kernel-2.6.34 pushed to updates that had un-addressed bugs.

It's not bananas, it's just a lot of work that no-one's done yet - well,
actually, it's implemented quite well in Launchpad, but most things
don't use Launchpad. Patches are probably welcome ;) It's definitely
something I'd like to have.
