  Mea culpa - I had simply done a yum list installed | egrep nss to see
what was installed and added the i686 versions ...

  I erased nss-tools.i686 and for good measure reinstalled nss-tools.x86_64


  Thanks for your help. I def dont need nor want executables just libraries.
