Adding Fedora15 to F16alpha grub2 menu {solved}

The standard 40_custom is:

#!/bin/sh
exec tail -n +3 $0
# This file provides an easy way to add custom menu entries.  Simply type the
# menu entries you want to add after this comment.  Be careful not to change
# the 'exec tail' line above.

and it hasn't always worked for me. I prefer to use:

#!/bin/sh
cat <<EOF
menuentry "..." {
set root=
search ...
linux ...
initrd...
}
EOF
