hal-free LXDE for Rawhide/F15?

I don't think so. The LXDE project is pretty much stalled at the
moment because PCMan, the lead developer is busy and Marty, who used
to maintain lxsession, has left. There is a slight chance for pfmanfm,
but I am unsure about lxsession.
