I Installed icedtea-web , java-1.6.0-openjdk , and then Installed
jre-1.6.0_25-fcs and then I checked in Firefox for Plugins, and
the java-plugin was there under icedtea-web and also had the
libjavaplugin.so linked in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins .
That is all I had to do, no extra ln -s any where.
