"A little" seems fair. Don't forget, laptops have been outselling desktops 
for half a decade, maybe longer. New laptop displays above 96 DPI are common 
if not the norm. And, it's typical that desktop displays are viewed at 
significantly longer distance than laptops, making their apparent pixel 
density higher. All of which makes a 11px font pretty tiny whether DPI is 120 
(6.6pt), 144 (5.5pt) or 160 (4.95pt) on a laptop, and more than 96 (@96 is 
8.25pt, but viewed from a 40% or so greater average distance) on a desktop.
