Those don't actually do the same thing, do they? The former is the
dracut / initramfs blacklist, the latter is the modprobe blacklist. You
actually have to do *both* to guarantee the module won't be
automatically loaded. You make the initramfs blacklist permanent by
adding the parameter to grub.conf . At least, that's how I understood
it. Am I off?
