Vncserver and Gnome3 - bletch

The following works under certain conditions.
Insert it in ~/.vnc/xstartup just before the similar lines:
if [ -f /etc/xdg/xfce4/xinitrc ]; then
exec sh /etc/xdg/xfce4/xinitrc
fi
What conditions? Not sure but it helps if the user hasn't run
a Gnome session.
