NFS and Samba on Verne???

Samba works for me.  The only thing I had to change was a slight syntax
difference for AD integration---for a share open to all,  that used to
work with @DOMAIN, I had to change it to @DOMAIN+"Domain Users" 

Install samba.  You might have to install nmb and and winbind
separately,  it doesn't pull them in. 


Can't recollect if I've done any NFS shares on F16.
