What network card driver? Someone in #fedora-qa was reporting something
similar earlier...

has anyone else experienced issues with the FC16 kernel causing
networking issues (where eth0, lo and br0 aren't found)? Reverting to
the old kernel (no other changes) fixes it

adamw, sorry I should be more specific. FC15 kernel, specifically
vmlinuz-2.6.40.4-5.fc15.x86_64 (failing one is
vmlinuz-3.1.0-0.rc5.git0.0.fc16.x86_64)

specific to your network driver

errors related to it in /var/log/messages ...

no lspci on here, nor is it in yum. grep 'Ethernet drive' /var/log/dmesg
gives "r8169 Gigabit Ethernet driver 2.3LK-NAPI loaded"

adamw, I can't see anything mentioning it but I could just be missing
it. http://pastie.org/2539654 is the full /var/log/messages for 11:44:50
(the last time it failed to boot)

though I don't see a lot in his /var/log/messages .
