I don't think going back is worse than not getting updates for a week because
fixes are in updates-testing and maintainers aren't doing rawhide builds.

The other way to go would be to cajole people who aren't doing rawhide builds
corresponding to new branched builds, into doing so. I believe this is
currently the recommended practice.
