Have you planned to report this? Has ABRT intercepted this crash?

An assertion like that aborts the application, because the programmer uses
it as a crucial safety-check and decided that the specified condition must
be true for the program code to continue at all. As why the value of
'magic_number' here doesn't match can have multiple reasons.
