Another issue:

Please use the --msdos flag too. Otherwise it awesomely creates both
partitions as ext4, which aren't recognised on most systems at boot. 

$ livecd-iso-to-disk --format --msdos --reset-mbr <path to is> /dev/sdb
#(the attachment point of the device)
