Removal of ConsoleKit is a feature, but it seems to be having
consequences the feature maintainers didn't expect.

Note this isn't an Alpha blocker; sound is only required to be working
at Beta stage. "In most cases, the installed system must be able to play
back sound with gstreamer-based applications" is the Beta criterion.
