#  livecd-iso-to-disk --efi --format  ...

did the trick. However I rant into another issue.  The USB boots fine to
live environment.  Install to HDD proceeds until the last step and then
fails at bootloader install (i think).. I've filed the automated bugzilla
bug via the wizard.

I'm not sure if there is anyway to continue to test or wait for Beta.
