According to http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=MTA0NDg 
xaa acceleration is no longer supported in the X server. I don't know
if the nv driver supports any other types of acceleration, but if it does
you should be able to tell it to use another type in xorg.conf.
