Hmm -- it is indeed in the list of Fedora 17 features:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Releases/17/FeatureList#Fedora_17_Accepted_Features
but the linked feature page itself actually targets Fedora 18:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/firewalld-default
It does mention automatic migration for F-18 alpha, and that the
previous firewall solution will still be available.
