Hello,
I have a really strange bug where in my laptop that has an update F19 emacs does not show up when running under kde.

This is really strange since under other computer it works as it should (under kde as well) and on this laptop it works under xfce. Gnome and cinnamon refuse to start for me saying "something is wrong please try again" (clearly a message that does not help at all because it does not give a clue of what is wrong and trying again does not help at all).

Notice that emacs does not show up with option -Q that means in this context --no-init-file --no-site-file --no-splash.
I tried this option to guarantee that the problem is not from the configuration files.

Trying to pinpoint the cause I note that it should be something related with the graphics part because it starts if running with -nw (--no-window-system) directly on the console/terminal.

Last Tuesday I got this error written to the terminal:
"** (emacs:4004): WARNING **: Couldn't register with accessibility bus: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken."

Since this was a one off example I am not sure if it was a transient problem.

<wink> Please help me I am having withdrawal problems! </wink> :-D

On a more serious note I am asking what is the best way to debug this problem?

Last trial was running it through strace.

It showed the window but then when pressing the buffer menu X froze or more correctly did not refresh. I had the control of the mouse and of the keyboard so that switching to tty2 and killing the running instance of emacs restore the control over X.

Regards,
