Problems with VirtualBox-4.2.6-5.fc18.x86_64 from rpmfusion and kernel-3.8.1-201.fc18.x86_64 resp. kernel-devel-3.8.1-201.fc18.x86_64

Hi all,

tomorrow I installed kernel-3.8.1-201.fc18.x86_64 and
kernel-devel-3.8.1-201.fc18.x86_64from koji, and now I have the problem
that the installer did no build the kernel modules for
kernel-3.8.1-201. Reboot does not help.

Starting VirtualBox now complains with:

Kernel driver not installed (rc=-1908)

The VirtualBox Linux kernel driver (vboxdrv) is probably not loaded.

If you installed or VirtualBox package recently you need to restart the
computer for the driver to load.

Alternatively, you may attempt to load the driver by issuing the
following command with system administrator (root) privileges:

'/etc/sysconfig/modules/VirtualBox.modules'

Trying to execute '/etc/sysconfig/modules/VirtualBox.modules' fails:

modinfo: ERROR: Module vboxdrv not found.
modinfo: ERROR: Module vboxnetflt not found.
modinfo: ERROR: Module vboxnetadp not found.


I had no such problems with kernel-3.7.9-205.fc18.x86_64.

Remark: the VB source module akmod-VirtualBox-4.2.6-1.fc18.1.x86_64 is
installed on my box.

I found out that /lib/modules/3.8.1-201.fc18.x86_64/extras is missing.

Anybody has a solution for this issue? All comments are welcome.
