The ctl-alt-F2 works and I am working on the rest.  But my install is 
with only ext4 partitions.  As I said in a separate note, I did what I 
am use to, which is to select 'standard' then adjust the ext4 / and 
/home partitions while increasing swap.

Oh, and hibernate is not working on this Lenovo.  I have not had 
hibernate since I switched from HP notebooks to Lenovo notebooks...
