Please use dnf and report unexpected behavior. The more edge cases we
shore up the better for everyone. I've been using it for ~2 years, and
fallback to yum (fairly quickly) to confirm/deny a problem.

If you do file a bug use option --debugsolver. This will create a
directory in the working directory that contains debug info to post.
Most of it is tar'd and gzipped but I tar that whole directory to make
it easier to attach to the bug.
