F22: nautilus will not allow desktop icons if using session type "Gnome on Wayland"

Changed my session type to "Gnome on Wayland". After relogging in, I see 
no more desktop icons. Killing nautilus and starting in a 
gnome-terminal, I see the following message:


** (nautilus:4636): Warning **: Desktop icons only supported on X11. 
Desktop not created.

Will this mean that nautilus will not run completely on Gnome/Wayland?
