Yeah, certainly sounds like the same thing. I'm guessing there's
something weird in a Lenovo firmware that they're using on both these
models? Would be good to know if any others are affected indeed. After
the long weekend we can try and see if the kernel team knows anything
about it.

There are some Magic Voodoo Kernel Parameters that those affected
could try, let me go look 'em up...

oh, that's right, the 'reboot=' parameter - might be useful to try the
variants of that.
