I actually wrote that! cheers, lol. In proper senryu it would be:

cherry blossom opens
timing its fall to my cup
where was the spring breeze?

senryu poetry was used by writers during the edo period as commentary on 
the Tokugawa shogunate's power to discard, annex and transform domains.
