Context in Technical Translation : Concept and Guidelines

Hi Rajesh,

Thanks for sharing this!

What would be the target of this document?
Developers to help them understand the importance of context, and start to
add this information to the software?
Translators, in order for them to pay attention to this context information
that may otherwise be overlooked?

Do we have stats about the proportion of strings to translate that actually
use this context information?

And wouldn't it be interesting to have this document as a wiki page rather
than a possibly outdated odt/pdf document circulating from mailbox to
mailbox?
