In case it's not clear from comment 26, libguestfs supports
adjusting the LVM filters:

http://libguestfs.org/guestfs.3.html#guestfs_lvm_set_filter
http://libguestfs.org/guestfs.3.html#guestfs_lvm_clear_filter

We use it in virt-df already.
