I don't know if this happened only here, so I'll ask:

I've upgraded several systems from rh8/9 to fedora... Several programs
had utf glitches corrected then, but with some the result is inverse:
programs which used to be correct are no more. One example is
gnomemeeting and synaptic (yes I know, it does not come with fedora)...
