Promise drivers for fedora

Has anyone had any luck getting fedora to work with a promise sx 4000 IDE card?  I contacted promise about fedora and they are not planning on releasing a driver disk in the near future.  I googled and found someone who got fedora working with the Fastrack 378 S-ATA, but that does not work with the sx 4000.
