how to set up the firewall?

hello,

i'm new to linux, slowly trying to find my way around here.

i've installed a program that needs the iptable firewall configured, but 
it doesn't say where or how to do it.. :^o

i looked around in FC1, but couldn't find a gui for that (hey, i've been 
using windows for years, so please bear with me, hehe!) or find out 
where the firewall is.

can anybody give me a hint on where to find the firewall and how to 
alter the iptable?
