Palm sync with evolution /mozilla

hi
i have FC1 and palm m515 sync via usb
all works great with kpilot.
But i wand to sync my data with a mail application (i use mozilla-mail)
there dont seems to be support for mozilla,
so i want to try Evolution but the pilot support is strange and not 
reliable.
sync is working (some times) gpilotd is running but palm doesnt want to 
hotsync.
kpilot have a sync monitoring applet (wich is in a windows because i use 
gnome) gpilotd not.
and if kpilot freeze (very rarely) i can kill it, gpilotd wont kill (and 
freeze frequently) sometimes i must reboot.

Suppor for palm in Evolution is limitated to the config box (nothing to 
install files, manage backups ...)

So if you have any suggest
