trying to install kde 3.2

Trying to install KDE 3.2 beta.  I think I am getting an error.  The
error is probably me.

downloaded kde-i18n-3.1.94-0.2.src.rpm (it looked big enough to be the
right one)
opened the terminal in root

[root at localhost root]# rpm -ivh kde-i18n-3.1.94-0.2.src.rpm
error: cannot create %sourcedir /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES

Thoughts?
