Question about connecting to the net through a winxp machine

Never seen one like this before - it looks like you got the interface up 
then added an alias or something...

What is the contents of /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0

You have no default route.  Log in as root ans type "route add default

This should have happened automatically and should not stop you pinging 
the winxp box.

Yes.  .2 is the one having the trouble and returning the error.  It's 
normal.
