Logout with Gnome

You should check, before you click logout, if there is any process hanging you have 
started in your gnome session. 
In my case, xmms & crossfade plugin , hangs if you click on "x" in the xmms window
during playback. 

Try a 'ps waux' and browse the output. In my case a 'killall -9 xmms' 
solve this problem. Now i press stop, before close the xmms window. The hanging xmms
causes exactly this problem.
