Apology accepted (of course I do not speak for everybody) :-)

No need to drop from the mailing list.... what's the point of the list if you don't learn anything from it. It's a reminder that people need to be ready to thwart such an attack anyway for the event where it is deliberate.

So, pick yourself up, dust yourself off and figure out what went wrong... and share the solution. :-) You may prevent somebody else from doing the same thing.
