How about an old brown derby.  Charley Chaplin, Abbot and 
Costello style.  Chaplin was a pioneer in the film industry
Abbot and Costello sort of muddled through.

In one way Fedora will pioneer stuff and one day or another any
of us might take heart in the trials of Abbot and Costello... and
have fun with it.
