Nope:

[root at rivendell root]# echo 0 > /proc/sys/kernel/exec-shield
[root at rivendell root]# rpmbuild --rebuild
fluxbox-0.1.14-0.fdr.6.0.94.src.rpm
[...snip...]
+ perl -pi -e 's/.*HAVE_STRFTIME.*/#define HAVE_STRFTIME 1/' config.h.in
/var/tmp/rpm-tmp.56176: line 29: 3639 Segmentation fault perl -pi
-e 's/.*HAVE_STRFTIME.*/#define HAVE_STRFTIME 1/' config.h.in
error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.56176 (%build)

And then, with exec-shield being kept disabled:

[florin at rivendell florin]$ vncserver
Segmentation fault

Like i said before, this system worked perfectly until yesterday, on
RH9.

The strange thing is that the basic desktop apps and network servers
seem to work pretty well. It's just niche applications that crap out:
vncserver segfaults, various compilation utilities bail out at certain
programs.

I was able to rebuild the newest Gaim src.rpm from sf.net, so it's not
like compilation doesn't work at all.
