Susan,

First I would recommend not sending messages with HTML in them as many
people on this list filter out any messages that contain it.

Second to answer your question take a look at this link:

This info is more specific to the latitude D800 that I have but he
mentions that the 1300/1400 is not supported in linux nativly. You can
load it with a commercial software package but it is not free. It looks
like the TrueMobile 1150 is the one supported by linux as it is based on
the orinoco chipset.

I run the orinoco chip but from a different vendor and it works great.
