kdm problems

Hi all,
I just upgraded from RH 9 to Fedora Core 1. All is working fine except 
the graphical login. I can start X by typing startx, but the graphical 
login does not work. The kdm.log file report a "Fatal server error: 
Caught signal 11.  Server aborting" message. In message I have "Display 
:0 cannot be opened".
Any guess on what may the problem be?
