Unbootable upgrade running on VMWare

VMWare emulates a BusLogic SCSI device. The initrd should have this module
installed. If not, you'll need to boot into the system with a rescue disk
then create an initrd and copy it to /boot. Then make sure that your
grub.conf points to the correct initrd.
