Indeed Fedora is already installed. In addition the DOS drive is NTFS.
Thoughts?
Also, any thoughts on the other 2 items: 1. Icons off desktop (Gnome)
2. Revise listing of apps in start menu?

Have you already installed Fedora? If not, then when you go through the
set-up for partitioning, you can choose a mount point for your DOS
directory. Each time you boot, your DOS partition will be available
wherever you located it. If not, and this is a fat32 drive, you can add
this line to the /etc/fstab to have it do so from here on out:
/dev/hda1 /mnt/win vfat auto,umask=0 0 0
