And you've hit the nail on the head: (a) it's not a technical problem at 
all, it's related to how you want to read mail (note want, not need); and 
(b) people ask for this out of personal convenience or ignorance, both of 
which would be OK if they didn't REDUCE the personal convenience of about 
3,500 other subscribers who, in the vast majority, prefer not to do this.

The majority of the community prefers to do it one way. Most people, given 
the knowledge of how to use that way properly, accept it well. The few who 
do not, unfortunately (and I mean that), will have to accept the will of 
the majority.
