OT- Messages take a long time to be sent from list

It seems as if my messages take a long time before they appear in the
list after sending them.  Is this normal? I've tested sending to a
couple of my other accounts and they show up almost immediately... I'm
using postfix and wanted to make sure my messages are actually sending
out properly. Thanks.
