Hi all,
Well, I did what a few told me to do on here. I downloaded the ISO's and
installed the OS from my hard drive, instead of via http or FTP. It
worked! Well, kinda. If you remember, I couldn't get my network card to
work to install off of the 'net:
> class: NETWORK
> bus: PCI
> detached: 0
> device: eth
> driver: unknown
> desc: "3Com Corporation|unknown device 10b7:1700"
> vendorId: 10b7
> deviceId: 1700
> subVendorId: 1043
> subDeviceId: 80eb
> That board is a SysKonnect SK-98xx clone, the driver is *sk98lin*
(Thanks, Xose!)
So, installed off the hard drive. I go into redhat-config-networking
and I delete the stupid card. Then, I try to reinstall it. Does fine
until I try to activate it. Then...the message of doom in a box pops up:
"3c501 devoice eth0 does not seem to be present, delaying initialization."
OK gurus, what say you?
