Where do I configure modules?

do a updatedb
then type locate floppy.o
should find it i think 
heres mine

localhost:~# locate floppy.o
/lib/modules/2.4.22-1-686/kernel/drivers/block/floppy.o
/lib/modules/2.4.22-1-686/kernel/drivers/ide/ide-floppy.o

the kernel will look for it and cause an error if u remove it
later...
