Yeah but you could trim it ((-:.

(II) I810(0): VESA VBE Total Mem: 1024 kB
(II) I810(0): VESA VBE OEM: Intel810(TM) Graphics Chip Accelerated VGA BIOS

If I am right, this says you have 1MB video ram. This is not
enuf to do much. Then it gets upped

(II) I810(0): I810CheckAvailableMemory: 151548k available
(==) I810(0): Will alloc AGP framebuffer: 8192 kByte

So now you have 8MB video ram. Still not much. Now looking at
the highest 640x480 resolution available:

(**) I810(0): *Default mode "640x480": 36.0 MHz, 43.3 kHz, 85.0 Hz
(II) I810(0): Modeline "640x480" 36.00 640 696 752 832 480 481 484
509 -hsync -vsync

the frequencies available are just too low. If I am correct, you
will have to up the video ram to at least 16MB. Try to use

(==) Depth 24 pixmap format is 32 bpp

is asking for too much. I have never used the Intel 810 chip,
so someone more knowledgeable than me will have to take over.
