OpenOffice ridiculously slow to start on FC3

Hummm.  500 MHz Pentium III here with 256 MB RAM and (after I took the 
advice about hashing out the non-needed languages) my OOo loads in a 
blazing 40 seconds......

I just attribute it to OOo bloat plus my "dinosaur" box . :-)
