yum problem, 'Repository base already added' (FC3)

You probably have [updates-released] & [base] specified in
/etc/yum.conf - hence its a duplicate (the other occurances are in
/etc/yum.repo.d/fedora.repo & fedora-updates.repo)

To fix - remove the duplicate entries from /etc/yum.conf

Both /etc/yum.repo.d/fedora.repo and etc/yum.repo.d/fedora-updates.repo 
exist but are empty in my sys.

Contained in /etc/yum.conf - in the parts mentioned in the errors I have:
