Jason,
Have you tried the Nvidia website for Linux drivers? I have found 
drivers for my motherboard and video cards in RPM form for the X_64 
version. These RPMs should install (as root) without too much trouble. 
Also, what is the AMD 2000? Do you have an Athlon or 64bit processor?
